Fudan Sociology is one of the most leading sociology departments in China. We have strong programs in the studies of social inequality, community research, economic sociology, and sociology of culture and religion. Our department emphasizes both theoretical creativity and substantive empirical research on important social issues. We offer training at both the graduate levels and undergraduate levels. Our graduate programs include master degree program and doctoral degree program. Our graduate program trains students to build a strong theoretical foundation and to do rigorous research. We also offer a wide and stimulating range of coursework at the undergraduate level. Our Department has 20 full-time faculty members, including 12 professors. In addition, we have 2 distinguished visiting professors,2 advising professors, 2 honorary professors and several visiting professors from overseas universities. We annually have 60 undergraduate students, 15 master students, 8 doctoral students in sociology, and 3 master students in anthropology.
